Our approach
Clients typically contact us with the need for a specific part for their car that is no longer available, Where possible they may have considered new old stock, but a 40 year old part is still a 40 year old part.
In most cases our customers have a version or two of the part they need, with various levels of degradation or damage. We use the detail from those with direct measurements (or 3D scans) taken from the car to create a CAD (computer aided design) model that can be editted and used to 3D print a replacement.
In more complex scenarios we may use 3D scanning technology to create a framework for the product within CAD.
Once we have a good model of the target product we will produce some 3D printed samples to offer up to the car and see how they fit and perform. Based on this evaluation we work with you to make any agreed changes and potentially change the type of material we are printing.
Once the work has been completed we tend to make the final prints available on eBay for other car owners.
